I want to live somewhere else outside of mainland America at some point in my life. Having skills that pay no matter where you live is definitely a plus. I don't know if Portugal is that spot, but it definitly sounds nice. Wishing you continued peace and happiness.

My mother is staging a family intervention to stop me from moving to Thailand. I said I would gladly come home to sit down with the family and talk things through (even though I've been talking to my siblings about it for quite a while). I also told her I am 100% determined to make this move. I know it's incredibly hard for most Americans to wrap their heads around the idea of leaving, but I've wanted to since the first Trump term.

Definitely some major political shifts occurring around the world, but I could never imagine this would be happening in U.S.A. I hope that Americans stand up for what they believe. In the meantime, Portugal is a good place to be.✌🏽🙏🏽&

I 100% agree about the patterns, and I'm so very alarmed that very few people are noticing this pattern. I'm sad that the shift right is happening elsewhere, but everyone also had to deal with the pandemic. That alarmed a lot of people.

Where I am, we just had the five year anniversary of the lockdowns. We were all hoping it would be quick, and it ended up being much longer than any of us expected. For people like me with type 1 diabetes and other disorders, it was more alarming. I still have Covid PTSD and carry masks in my bag for the sake of safety and will wear one in certain situations. I'm also sad for the people who didn't get through it and sad for those whose health has been compromised by Long Covid and other issues since then.

It's been one hell of a rollercoaster.
