Your girl is in the news again. The New York Times says America is “in a funk as it celebrates its 247th birthday.” Given Philadelphia was the nation’s first capital — before Washington, DC — it’s appropriate their local NPR and PBS station (WHYY) did such a fantastic round up of personal stories that help explain why.
